Washworld has recently added a new distributor in British Columbia. WashTech West, located in Port Alberni, BC, is owned by Kelly Horvath. As part of the car wash business for almost 30 years, Horvath has experience in all aspects of the industry. In addition to selling and servicing Washworld systems throughout British Columbia, he is a site developer and also owner/operator of his own car wash sites. “Our focus has always been to provide highly efficient sites. This includes everything from building design with emphasis on large, bright and well laid out bays, and providing top of the line equipment, to site management; all the while providing excellent customer service,” said Horvath.

Washworld continues to expand its international distribution with the addition of Netherlands based SAVONA. Founded in 1968, the company is owned by Vincent Van den Dungen, who is the second generation in this family owned car wash company. Van den Dungen also serves as president of the Dutch Carwash Association.

SAVONA is the preferred supplier for several oil companies and is a leading manufacturer of self serve car wash equipment in Europe. SAVONA is selling the Washworld touchless car wash system as part of their turnkey AUTODOES aimed at unattended sites integrated to POS systems of gas stations.

Washworld, Inc. continues to expand its international distributor network with the recent addition of Washwell Forecourt Services, based in Cork, Ireland. Owners Leighton Ricketts and Sandra Ricketts pioneered the use of touch free car washing in Ireland and have been selling car wash equipment since 2001. In addition to distributing Washworld systems, Washwell Forecourt Services owns and operates several of its own car wash sites.

Domino Equipment Company will be selling and servicing Washworld vehicle wash systems throughout Oklahoma. Located in Oklahoma City, the company also has branch offices in Clinton and Tulsa. Domino Equipment was founded in 1988 and provides both construction and service to the car wash industry. President Barry Brodersen and his staff of qualified and licensed technicians, construction personnel, project managers and supervisors offer customers wide ranging experience capable of meeting the customer’s specific car wash needs. Galloway Chemical Division. O’Hanrahan Consultants, Inc. has become the newest member of our Distributor Network. Located in Largo, Florida, the company will be selling and servicing Washworld systems throughout the state. Founded in 1962, Galloway Chemical is headed by company President Ed O’Hanrahan, Jr. In addition to Washworld systems and their own line of chemicals, the company provides complete design and build services, including site selection, engineering, architectural design and construction. Galloway Chemical works with all segments of the car wash industry, from individual owner/operators to corporate customers and investment groups.

Washworld, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Big Man Washes to it US distributor network. Located in Irving, Texas, Big Man Washes will sell and service Washworld vehicle wash systems to customers in the areas of northern Texas and south-central Oklahoma. Founded by Wes Dawson, the company provides an array of car wash services including equipment sales, installation, maintenance and service, chemical sales, as well as, car wash construction, renovation and consulting. Dawson has a background in construction and over 18 years experience in the car wash industry. Recognized as a leader in their market, Big Man Washes works with all types of car wash owners, from the established operators to first time investors. Due to the increased volume of our international sales, Washworld is pleased to announce the creation a new position, that of Sales Manager-Europe. Assuming this new position for Washworld is Michael von Knorring. Von Knorring is a well known name in the European car wash industry as he has spent the past ten plus years in a similar capacity for another vehicle wash company.

Von Knorring’s career has centered around various aspects of the automobile industry including that of Sales Director for Toyota in his native Finland. In addition, von Knorring dealt with the chemical side of car washing as a major chemical company’s Communications Director. It was during his tenure as Sales Director for an auto glass manufacturer that von Knorring moved to France to head up the development of the company’s automotive replacement glass (ARG) manufacturing business, as well as to develop a European distributor network for the product. He oversaw the process that included the acquisition of companies in France, Germany and England, which resulted in the company becoming the second largest ARG manufacturer in Europe. When the company was purchased by US based PPG, von Knorring remained as the ARG Director for Europe with production units in Italy and France.

Von Knorring is married and lives in France where his two grown sons are also working with major international corporations.

Washworld now has a distributor in Italy; Enrico Mariotto will be the exclusive distributor of Washworld systems in Italy. The company, located in Torino, is well known in the car wash industry and owns several sites throughout the country operated under the Starwash brand. Originally a distributor of self-serve equipment, in 2003 owner Mariotto became involved specifically with touch-free in-bay automatic systems and played an instrumental role in developing the European market for high pressure equipment. His company now operates one of the largest multilane wash sites in Italy. The first of the Washworld systems has been installed in Sardinia with a second to follow in Bologna. In addition to Washworld equipment, the Enrico Mariotto company will represent CSI chemicals throughout Italy. We’re excited about this new partnership.

We are happy to announce our newest international distributor; AUTOMO will distribute Washworld vehicle wash systems in Russia. Located in Moscow, AUTOMO is owned by Boris Kasiyanenko who has a background in automotive electrical engineering and had served as Deputy Director Master-Distributor Hunter Engineering Russia. Boris has been in the car wash industry for the last five years and looks forward to serving this growing market in Russia. Welcome Boris!

The newest addition to Washworld’s distributor network is ABC Car Wash Systems which will be handling Washworld vehicle wash systems in southern Nevada. ABC is owned by Ryan Ford who has been in the car wash industry for over 13 years. He opened ABC in September of 2009 after spending the previous 11 years as District Manager of a large car wash chain. According to Ford, his experience on the consumer side of the business, “...helps us to relate well to the customer and their needs.” ABC will sell and service new equipment, chemicals and parts.

The new Washworld DVD featuring our entire product line has arrived! The Washworld Vehicle Wash Systems DVD consists of sections on the High Velocity®, Razor® and Radiantz®, as well as an overview of our company. The DVD is interactive which allows the viewer to choose to watch the entire 12 minute presentation or to focus on a particular product of interest.
